Heihei!

Da er vi i Singapore! Her er det supervarmt og fuktig, når man går ut av et rom med aircon er det akkurat som om det er en vegg av varm luft som møter oss. Vi bor på et hostel i Chinatown. Denne bydelen er som Chinatowns flest  – det myldrer med små kinesere, billig tacky shit og annet som er made in china. Det er imidlertid masse fristende matsteder! I morgen skal vi møte Ingunn på Changi Airport, hun sitter på flyet akkurat nå og skal reise sammen med oss til Indonesia i en mnd.

I dag kom vi med buss fra Melaka, en tidligere portugisisk havneby i Malaysia som er spesielt kjent for sin Chinatown. Der var det utrolig koselig, men hele byen bærer preg av å være litt kunstig og bygd opp for turister. Fikk litt følelsen av å være i en porugisisk-kinesisk versjon av disneyland. Skal legge ut bilder så fort jeg orker å lete fram kamerakabelen i sekken.

Ellers koser vi oss masse, vi har virkelig trivdes godt i Malaysia og er glad for at vi har fått sett litt mer av landet denne gangen. Spesielt var det en kul opplevelse å ta the Jungle Railway – 14 timer på nattog hvor vi var de eneste med vestlig utseende å se. Toglinjen snirkler seg sakte gjennom tett regnskog og over høylandet, det gikk i rykk og napp og det hvinte i bremser på hver stasjon. Innimellom kom det en mann å ropte "Nasi Goreng" + noe annet vi ikke forsto. Nasi Goreng betyr stekt ris! Nam!

Vi anbefaler virkelig alle å reise til Malaysia altså – spesielt hvis man vil ha noe av det samme som Thailand, men til omtrent halve prisen. Like idylliske strender og sykt mye mindre norske charterturister. Faktisk har vi bare hørt norsk en eneste gang på turen hittil!! Det er vel et bra tegn på at vi er selvstendige og har klart å finne steder utenfor norsk allfarvei.

Håper alle har det bra hjemme! Vi har forøvrig tatt ut de malaysiske simkortene fra telefonene våre, så hvis det er noe så er vi på de norske nummerne den neste uka. Skal prøve å skaffe oss indonesiske kort etterhvert tipper vi.

Solen skinner og sanden er kritthvit! Jeg skal la deg få kose deg med bildene av stranden og det hotellet vi bodde på i Kuala Lumpur, for dette rommet vi bor på her for 50 kroner natten per person er rett og slett for stygt og forferdelig til å ta bilde av! Hehe:) men det er billig! Spiste nettopp middag for 16 kroner. Med andre ord, vi koser oss fortsatt på 1-stjerners rom men på 5-stjerners strand!

Osv. Det eneste som faktisk mangler er en sjokoladebit på puta, hehe. Men vi fikk velge mellom 4 forskjellige putetyper da. Herligheten kommer med tilgang til the traders lounge hvor det er privat frokost (så vi slipper å dele lokale med alle de andre på hotellet), afternoon tea og cocktails, alt gratis såklart. Nevnte jeg at vi også får tilgang til svømmebassenget og treningssenteret i 35. Etasje? Backpacking er sweet, dere burde prøve det en gang! ;)
